*THE PROMISES OF GOD.*
Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV
“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;” When God makes a commitment, He keeps it. He is committed to bring to fulfill eve ry promise regarding your life. |
SENIORS.THE PROMISES OF GOD.*
Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;” When God makes a commitment, He keep s it. He is committed to bring to fulfill ment every promise regarding your life. 2 Corinthians 1:19 “For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us — by me, Silvanus, and Timothy — was no t Y es and No, but in Him was Yes.” |
PRAYER LEADERSHIP
The greatest (Christian) leaders are universally marked by deep empathy, compassion, deep sensitivity to the hearts of others, EQ over IQ.
Without empathy we become tyrants. Control freaks . With it we listen. We love. We are prepared to change and remain willing to make sacrifices. When we empathize we cannot help but pray and when we pray - ‘with’ and not just ‘about’ people - we become more compassionate. |
Prayer and Obedience for Leaders
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.(Hebrews 13:17)
|
Our Living Hope
“All the problems of heaven and earth, though they were to confront us together and at once, would be nothing compared with that overwhelming problem of God: That He is; what He is like; and what we as moral beings must do about Him.” - A.W Tozer

'Women of the Kingdom of God'“What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of your hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” Hebrews 2:6-8

Apostolic Building, Restoring and Governing BelieversThe nature of Christ in you is to build, restore and govern. I believe that God has made each Christian unique and given us gifts for increase. We know that all churches in the New Testament were apostolic in nature and is relevant to understanding your purpose.

Atonement and RepentenceUsually coinciding with Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), September is a significant month. This Jewish New Year is extra special because it is the Year of Jubilee! On the Jewish calendar, years are observed in seven- year cycles, with a sabbatical year on the seventh year.

Resurrection Power in YouWe were buried with Him (Jesus) through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of
the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4) |
THANKS GIVING for HIS MARVELOUS WORKSThe Chosen Stone and His Chosen People
“Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,” “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” |
The Bridal (Church) PositionThe reality of the culture of our citizenship as sons and daughters of the Most High God, Ambassadors representing His rule in the earth calls for an attitude of no compromise.
|
The Prophetic and the 'Prophetic Anointing'His word says to us “be eager to prophesy” and “eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.” (1 Cor. 14:1)
We as a people have been called to carry a prophetic type burden; to live out God’s eternal purpose. There is a working distinction that will be made in further teaching between the office of a prophet and the prophetic ministry of a person and of a corporate people. |
Prayer. The truth and importance of prayerI believe prayer is the vehicle God uses to transform us and our world, and causes us to relate more intimately to Him. Thus, we need to take prayer seriously and not think we can manipulate it to get what we want but, rather, what Christ’s will is for us and the world in which we live. His kingdom come and His will be done. Here are a few of the issues we need to be praying toward.
|
Where Are We RootedWe are to make sure that we're rooted in the right place. With all the bitterness that we're seeing in the tensions around the world, and how easy it is to get caught up in it all. God warns us:
"...make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will cause trouble and poison the hearts of many." (Hebrews 12:15) "Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults. But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ's love." (Ephesians. 4:31-32) |
Psalms 23The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Job 33:4
1 Corinthians 16:13 “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” Ephesians 6:18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…” Colossians 4:2 “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.”What a great way to look at one of our favorite passages: Psalm 23

Prayer Changes ThingsRemember–Prayer changes things, and we are all intercessors in the Lord’s eyes. Each of our prayers helps collectively fulfill, and partner with, when praying the Lord’s perfect will.
Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” NKJV Philippians 4:4-8, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things. (NKJV) |
To Be Set ApartOur heavenly Father longs for us to draw nigh, to be set apart. Lay at the feet of Jesus everything, that we would walk in obedience to/with/in and because of His love.
Dying daily that no longer us who lives but Christ! For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phil. 1:21 For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring. Acts 17:28 Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Phil. 2:2…….That every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phil 2:11 |
My ‘Thoughts’ and Prayer With ScriptureSharing some ‘thoughts’ and prayer with you ~ as they have come my way, along with scripture:
|
The Feast of Dedication“I am the Light of the World: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life!” John 8:12Over 150 years before Jesus’ birth, a group of Jewish warriors led by Judah Maccabee, defeated Anticochus IV. Though terribly outnumbered by their foes, the Maccabees triumphed over the Grecian Syrian Empire. This led to the establishment of Chanukah — the feast of dedication.
Judah entered into Jerusalem only to find the Temple desecrated by a sacrificed pig and an idol of Zeus. Upon seeing this, he immediately began to cleanse the Temple. Judah also found that there was only one cruse of undefiled oil which could burn in the Temple Menorah (holy candleabra which had to continually burn). This oil was only enough for one day but it miraculously lasted for eight days, just enough time to get more of this special oil made. So in memory of this miracle and the rededication of the Temple, Chanukah (Hanukkah) or the Festival of Lights has been celebrated by the Jewish people for over 2000 years and was even celebrated by Jesus Himself! |
Hearing God’s voice and Prophesy(2 Peter 1:19) “So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.”
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.” (1 Corinthians 2:12-13) See, the former things have taken place and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you” (Isa.42:9) |
The Prophetic and the “Prophetic Anointing”His word says to us “be eager to prophesy” and “eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.” (1 Cor. 14:1)
We as a people have been called to carry a prophetic type burden; to live out God’s eternal purpose. There is a working distinction that will be made in further teaching between the office of a prophet and the prophetic ministry of a person and of a corporate people. “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons” 1 Corinthians 12:4-6) |
Apostles and “Apostolic Authority”And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:28)
This is God’s order: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers… The apostolic gift and anointing should always be at the heart of the Church, therefore, is a necessary and indispensable part of the church, not optional, but needed and required. Apostles are standard-bearers-commanders who lift the standard and rally the army of God (Isa. 59:19). The Church needs apostolic leadership to help set the Church in order, being a catalyst to help organize and mobilize the believers into an army of the Lord. |
Understanding and Walking in the “Apostolic Anointing”Apostle means “sent one.” The Holy Spirit is an apostolic spirit. God’s Spirit has been sent to us (Galatians 4:6). Jesus Christ was sent by the Father. Jesus turned His disciples into apostles as He said, ” As the Father has sent Me, so send I you.” (John 20:21). Moses was called and sent. (Exodus 3:10) The sending also involves warring. But the power and authority given to Moses to war against Pharaoh came from God. God not only called and commissioned and commanded, God committed Himself.” Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be a token unto you, that I have sent you…”(Exodus 3:12) There would be signs and wonders, tokens that Moses would speak for God. (Exodus 3:20).

Healing and Deliverance“If the Son makes you free, you shall be FREE indeed!”(John 8:36) – It’s your inheritance. There is no such thing as false hope. As long as one has breath, he/she is to praise the Lord and God inhabits the praises of His people. I/we should never be ashamed or reluctant to ask the Father to heal. One of the aspects of the healing prayer is to intentionally distance the symptoms and present prognosis from the vision desired concerning the individual prayed for. In other words, believe and we must be careful how we describe and speak about the illness an individual is overcoming. Faith is involved in our language.

Praise and WorshipOur Father, Which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless Your holy Name. I adore You and make known to You my adoration and love this day. I bless Your Name, Elohim, the Creator of heaven and earth, Who was in the beginning. It is You who made us and You have crowned us with glory and honor. You are the God of might and strength. Hallowed be Thy Name. I bless your Name, El-Shaddai, the God Almighty of blessings. You are the breasty one Who nourishes and supplies. You are all-bountiful and all-sufficient. Hallowed be Thy Name. |
Prayer, Intercession and Warfare(Ephesians 6:18) “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…” (Colossians 4:2) “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.”
“A wise man attacks the city of the mighty and pulls down the stronghold in which they trust.” (Proverbs 21:22) |
The Word and the Holy SpiritHe who scatters has come up before your face. Man the fort! Watch the road! Strengthen your flanks! Fortify your power mightily.(Nahum 2:1)

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only son our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried, He descended into hell: The third day He rose from the dead He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty from there He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the church universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
